Just that.

So recently, thanks to Jen and Brady, I have been reading the quotes daily from Stand A Little Taller by our late, amazing latter day prophet, Gordon B. Hinkley.  Every day is a new thought and a new challenge to stand a little taller in life, to be a better person and truly find joy in the world around us. There have been many quotes that have impacted me and its so amazing how each quote for that day is perfect for the current events in my life. The Lord knows what he is doing when he enlightens these amazing men who are instruments in his hands. To start today's quote is:

Kneel in Family Prayer 

 We will give ourselves continually to prayer.  

-ACTS 6:4

"I feel satisfied that there is no adequate substitute for the morning and evening practice of kneeling together-father, mother, and children. This, more than heavy carpets, more than lovely draperies, more than cleverly balanced color schemes, is the thing that will make for better and more beautiful homes."

Oakly and I are really not that great at praying together. That is something that I would love to work on however. I have such a strong testimony of the power of prayer. It truly amazes me how much my Father in Heaven really does know me individually. I really have no need to fret or worry because he has my back and loves me. I know that through prayer you can strengthen home and family, build unbreakable relationships and truly become the person you seek to be. Prayer can mend shattered hearts and can sew a torn family apart together again. He knows and loves each of us. He wants us to talk to him, let him know how our day has been and cry to him in pain if we have it. He wants to lift our burdens and ease any fear. He will help, all we have to do is ask.

Love Overcomes

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only 

begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him

 should not perish, but have everlasting life.

"Love is the only force that can erase the differences between people-that can bridge chasms of bitterness."

Truly the Beetles had it right because:

"All you need is love, love is all you need"

I believe that if we start with only once a day switching out anger, frustration, or any negative feeling and turn it into love we will all become better people. We will be able to truly love others more and thus be happier in life. Choose love. Honestly, as in the genius words of The Goo Goo Dolls:

"Let love in."

It feels so much better to love any way.

I love the Gospel everything about it. Its not easy to live, but it sure is worth it.
