Update on the little man!

I'm 29 weeks today. Not feeling super great... But today was just a rough day. I was a baby and didn't even go to work.
Total weight gain: (Wasn't sure how much I liked this question...) About 15ish lbs.
Maternity clothes: Hasn't changed. Still fit into all my clothes. YAY!

Stretch marks: No
Sleep: Ya... not getting too much of that.
Best moment this week: Sheesh... he's been a nut ball. Its been fun having him squirm so much.
Miss anything: Same things but add having energy and feeling GOOD....
Movement: Yes, I'm scared for when he is a toddler...
Food Cravings: Watermelon still but add Ice to that.
Gender: BOY!!!!
Symptoms: Thus far I'm not a fan of third trimester. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE having him be so active... Just not so sure about feeling like crap all the time. I bet it will be fine. I think I was just extra sick today that made it more fun....
Happy or Moody most of the time: Still really happy. No roller coasters for me.
Wedding ring on or off: On!
Showing: Yup. Huge. Here is the 'high quality" phone picture to prove it. Taken today...

Please note: I am wearing Oakly's basketball shorts as all I've done today is lay on the couch and watch USA network online to try and catch up on episodes of Suits since we don't have cable.... Yay!

Ok where the crap did July go?

Alright people. This time fly's stuff is making me crazy. First it was June that decided to run past me and now July? August... Will you be on my side? Doubt it. Any way!

Things are amazing here at the Rogers house hold. We are preparing for our wonderful little bundle and loving it. We cannot wait to have him here (though he does need to bake a little longer).... This week is Oak's "hell week" if you will. To him its a four letter word... Fair.... Tooele County puts on a fair that Oak just so happens to be a major part of. I haven't seen him since 6:30 this morning and won't see him most likely until 1 AM. Yes. I miss him dearly. This week I am single...

Well let's back track shall we?

July was an awesome month though it did sprint right by! The fourth of July is always fun, guess what we did? That's right... Rodeo! And of course BBQ and games and all that jazz. It was an amazing time actually. Family came over and we had a BBQ at our house and then went over to the Bit and Spur rodeo at the complex. I enjoyed me some funnel cake and walked around aimlessly the majority of the time.. Bleachers aren't super awesome on ones knocked up back. Oak, of course, had to work the rodeo so he was in the arena the whole time. So wandering was fun... haha really though it wasn't too bad. I love living in a small town you can't go two steps with out seeing someone and having a 15-131854 minute conversation with them. Anywho. There is just something about the fourth of July. Its amazing.

Hey! We did get one picture of us on the 4th! Be kind, I was close to 6.5 months along....

Our amazing friends had their little boy on July 7th and he is a doll. Literally. He looks like a baby doll. So perfect! I'm obsessed with him a little bit. Makes me just that much more excited for this little tank to come out!

Now for the 24th of July, we did the traditional Bee's game with the Landvatter fam. It was really a great time. I wish I had taken my camera... But no, I failed miserably. Oak and I got these ice cream cones that were bigger than both of us put together. They were delightful and the Bee's actually won! We couldn't stay for the fireworks or anything which was a bummer, but we loved the time that we were able to spend with family!

Our little bundle!

So to keep you all updated I found this cute little template of fun things to say about the pregnancy! So here goes!

I'm 24 weeks & 3 days today. Feeling really good!
Total weight gain: (Wasn't sure how much I liked this question...) About 12 lbs.
Maternity clothes: One pair of capris and two shirts just because they were comfy, but honestly I still fit into all of my normal clothes (thank heavens!).
Stretch marks: No
Sleep: Whats that? Just kidding, its not too bad. I can't complain :).
Best moment this week: Having the little guy finally show off for his Daddy and he was able to feel everything, normally he gets stage fright and stops moving when someone puts their hand on my belly.
Miss anything: My flat stomach, normal belly button, and perfect back that never had any back pain. Haha its also starting to get a bit harder to bend over to shave my legs and what not.
Movement: YES, little man is crazy!
Food Cravings: Watermelon.
Gender: BOY!!!!
Symptoms: So much better than first trimester. I do have the occasional back pain and leg cramp but for the most part I've LOVED second trimester!
Happy or Moody most of the time: I actually ask Oak this on a weekly basis. I don't want to be one of those crazies that just because they are preggers they turn into a whack job. But really I haven't been too bad at all. I have the occasional day where I just want to cry or I do and then I just laugh at myself because its so funny that I'm crying for nothing. But for the most part I have been my normal self.. Happy :).
Wedding ring on or off: On!
Showing: Definitely. I don't just look like I'm gaining weight anymore there is a basketball there. And here is the pic to prove it!

July already??

Alright, I really can't believe its July already. Time fly's!!

June was amazing and kept us crazy busy. We had our 2 year anniversary yesterday and I cannot even  believe that its been that long. Some days it feels like we've been together for 50 years (which is a good thing) and others it feels like a few days (which is also a good thing) keeps things exciting!

I truly have the worlds most incredible husband. I cannot even begin to express how much I love him. He really is my everything and I thank my loving Heavenly Father every day for such an amazing man as my husband. I really got a catch!

There are sooooo many things that I love about Oak but here is a TINY list any way!

I love that he is so good to me.
I love that he loves me.

I love that he is patient.
I love that he is spiritual.

I love that he is going to be the best daddy in the whole wide world.
I love that he is a cowboy.

I love that he is a hard worker.

I love that he is so much fun.
I love that he is unconditional.
I love that he is handsome.

I love that he makes me laugh.
I love that he can be shy.
I love that he makes fun of me but when I retaliate he can't take it. (haha bless your heart).
I love that he cares so much about me.
I love that he is so trust worthy.
I love that he is so loving.
I love that he seriously completes me and makes me a better person.

20 WEEKS!

I can't believe I'm already to the half way point. Boy... Has it been a ride. There are some women who have said that they LOVE being pregnant... Well I am not one of those women. I mean it does have its perks such as...

I LOVE that I can feel him inside me.
I LOVE that I now have a bond with him that no one else will.
I LOVE when Oak can feel him kick an he gets so excited.

And honestly that's about it. I love everything about my little guy... Just ya... haha. (is that selfish?)

Any way! I am very grateful for all the experiences I've had with him and truly am so blessed that we get to have such a wonderful little boy. I am grateful that I have the ability to be pregnant and carry my own wonderful children.

Here is the 20 week bump people, 5 months, half way!

Photo: 20 week bump! Half way baby!

I was only supposed to get my bump and not my face... Soooo... No I'm not angry just concentrating... real .....hard......to get a good picture. Ha, yes gotta love it.

Any way! Our Memorial Day weekend was AMAZING. We were able to do so many wonderful and fun things, I really loved it. And being able to be with our friends and family was prime. I'm so grateful also to be reminded of those who have fought for us and for our freedom in this wonderful country!

Saturday we were able to go to the Air Show and while we were there it was really great to be with everyone! Unfortunately mother nature had other plans and the weather turned from bad to worse in a matter of seconds! The show was cancelled and we ended up being a mile away from our car in the pouring rain... My wonderful husband did all he could to keep me warm and dry and I am SOOO grateful for his built in heating system. And... despite his efforts we got to our car SOAKED to the bone. (Don't worry, nothing that a really hot shower within two hours of driving couldn't mend ;)).

That night we were able to go to the temple with our good friends Kevin and Kellie. We haven't done an endowment session for a long time so we decided to catch that session. It was the Hispanic session and it was sooo amazing to be able to be on the flip side of things. I LOVED hearing certain parts in Spanish it was so beautiful and of course my testimony grew tremendously. Oakly was able to get an answer to who he was going to call as secretary in the Elders Quorum... (oh ya, he's the Elder's Quorum President now...its been such a HUGE blessing to us and he LOVES his calling).. And of course we always feel closest to our Heavenly Father while in the temple.

Kellie and I being pregnant (mostly me) needed to stop off and get some food before we started the 45 minute journey home.. We ended up at Dee's at about 10:30 PM and were able to enjoy the creatures of the night that ended up at Dee's ... well that late in the night... Interesting folk.

Oak and I totally forgot that we had to make frog eye salad that night as well for his family dinner that we were going to be to the next day. Soo.... Who knew that frog eye salad takes 16 hours to set? Not I..... We ended up going to bed at 1 AM but it was worth it! The salad turned out and was supreme amazingness!

Sunday we had a ton of fun at his parents home with our nieces and nephews... always love those family dinners!

Monday we had a huge get together as well at our home. We played horse shoes, king pin, roasted hot dogs and marsh mellows and truly had such a fun time! Our drive way is still plastered with all the beautiful chalk art that our nieces created.

All in all the weekend was a success and I think we both are still trying to re-cooperate!

SO HERE IT IS!!

Well hello everyone!! Here is my long lost post that I have needed to do for many months now. There is sooo much to update I have no clue where to even start... I guess its like when you scrap book if you are way behind. You start with the most recent and work your way back right? There is no way in the world that I will be able to remember EVERYTHING that has happened but I can assure you that I shall do my best!

Firstly, I'm PREGO! We're having a little boy in October. I'm 6 days away from my half way mark and I'm soooo excited. Well WE'RE so excited! This little guy truly is a blessing and we cannot even wait to meet him. Yes, I do have a little bit of a baby bump. But I'm told that if you were to look at me you wouldn't think anything of it (though I already feel massive).

Here is a picture of our little guy! (That was at 16 weeks so I can't wait to see what he looks like now!)

Its still not real to me. I honestly don't think it really will be until I'm holding him in my arms.

So... The story of finding out what little man was.

(Gotta give some background info first)

Oakly wanted a boy so bad I think he was going to cry. Every second he got he would call "baby" (at the time) HIM and HE and what not. He wouldn't let anyone say he was a girl because he just KNEW that his first child would be a boy. I felt the same way. I always called him... him... and I just always felt that he was a boy. HOWEVER, we did some very thorough old wives tale research... extensive if you will... and everything that we found out was that this little guy had all the signs of being a little girl. I was sooooooo sick in my first trimester... honestly. Any of you women who don't get morning sickness... I'm going to key your car. JK.. But I'm jealous of you. Its the most awful thing in the world. I have never thrown up so much in my entire life... literally. (Thank you Aubs for making me feel better with another old wives tale that if you're super sick, baby is super healthy!) Anywho...... So that pointed to a girl because supposidley you get more sick with little girls.

Next... When we heard his heart beat it was really fast. Number two old wives tale. Faster heart beat = little girl, slower heart beat= little boy.

AND Next... My friend Kellie (who is also having a little boy) looked up my "Oriental Prego Calendar" (I don't something weird like that...) and it said that I was having a girl... Kellie's was right because it told her she was having a little boy... So it HAD to be true ;).

ANNNND Next... Oakly started gaining weight.. (bless him) and that was also a sure sign of little one being a girl according to google (yes we really did waste that much time...)

ANNNNNNND Next..... ALL of Oakly's siblings are Boys... Its been said that if the Daddy has all brothers he will produce all girls....

So needless to say we were out numbered. Not to mention all of Oaks family was SURE baby was a girl.

Regardless we stuck to our guns and continued to believe that we had a little boy on our hands.

A few weeks before the ultra sound I had a dream that everyone brought me little boy things.

The morning of the ultra sound I had a dream that some how Oakly found out what we were having with out me and came rushing into the room with the sonogram saying "It's a boy, it's a boy!!" (weird dream... but it works).

AND WE HAVE A BOY!!! :)

He is getting really big too. Its craziness!

Well seeing as though this blog post took me three days to finish I better get headed. We have a ton of stuff we are going to do today (happy memorial day!).

Love you all!

More to come, I promise!

Coming soon!

There are soooo many things that I need to update... It will take far longer than the 5 minutes I have currently. However, I promise that there will be one soon! If there is anyone still out there!

this will literally change the way you view everything.

So, in my favorite book in the entire world... Remembering Wholeness by: Carol Tuttle she quotes a parable excerpted from Conversations with god: An Uncommon Dialogue; Book 3.

This has literally changed my life.

[God talking:]  "You may choose to be any part of God you wish to be," I said to the little soul. "You are Absolute Divinity, experiencing Itself. What aspect of Divinity do you now wish to experience as You?"
"You mean I have a choice?" asked the Little Soul. and I answered, "Yes. You may choose to experience any Aspect of Divinity in, as, and through you."
"Okay," said the Little Soul, "then I choose Forgiveness. I want to experience my Self as that Aspect of god called Complete Forgiveness."

Well, this created a little challenge, as you can imagine.
There was no one to forgive. All I have created is Perfection and Love.

"No one to forgive?" asked the Little Soul, somewhat incredulously.
"No one," I repeated.  "Look around you. Do you see any souls less perfect, less wonderful than you?"
At this the Little Soul twirled around, and was surprised to see himself surrounded by all the souls in heaven. They had come from far and wide through out the Kingdom, because they heard that the Little Soul was having an extraordinary conversation with God.
" I see none less perfect than I!" the little Soul exclaimed.
    "Who then shall I forgive?"
Just then, another soul stepped forward from the crowd.
"You may forgive me," said this Friendly Soul.
"For what?" the Little Soul asked.
" I will come into your physical lifetime and do something for you to forgive," replied the Friendly Soul.
"But what? What could you, a being of such Perfect Light, do to make me want to forgive you?" the Little soul wanted to know.
"Oh," smiled the Friendly Soul, "I'm sure we can think of something."
"But why would you want to do this?" The Little Soul could not figure out why a being of such perfection would want to slow down its vibration so much that it could actually do something "bad."
"Simple," the Friendly Soul explained, "I would do it because I love you. you want to experience your Self as Forgiving, don't you?...
"I ask only one thing in return," the Friendly Soul declared.
"Anything! Anything," the Little Soul cried. He was excited now to know that he could experience every divine Aspect of God. He understood, now, The Plan.
" In the moment that I strike you and smite you," said the Friendly Soul, "in the moment that I do the worst to you that you could ever imagine-in that self-same moment... remember Who I Really Am."
"Oh, I won't forget!" promised the Little Soul. "I will see you in the perfection with which I hold you now, and I will remember Who you Are, always."

        ~

"Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you" ..... because they may have been your best friend in heaven.

gotta love it.

so we ended september with the most beautiful sealing ever. the sealing of our new nephew to his family.  i love sealings, i always bawl my eyes out, i love going to the temple, i love being reminded of my own sealing and i always feel the spirit.

i took this picture. aren't you proud? i am.

working on the basement is what. we. do. its the only thing we do.

well and we do go cattle penning and take pictures that make me look like a white orphan that oak is double riding with.

ok. and we also go shooting when its -25698 degrees outside.

i love where i live.

i love where i live and i love my hubs.

life is wonderful.

What a day!

holy cow. so today was my "day off". it's funny how most the time i am more exhausted from my "day's off" than  i am when i work! any who... so today started off pretty wonderful. i woke up wayyyy later than normal, (8:30ish) to the sound of the garbage man... realizing that I totally forgot to put our garbage out I just stayed in bed (as i only had the g's on) and laughed as i thought of the now rotting potatoes in the bottom of the now really smelly garbage can thing. as i heard them drive passed i realized it was way passed the time to wake up and start my day. so i put on some work clothes and headed outside. since it's been so nice and cool in the mornings i decided it was the perfect time to mow the lawn. after the lawn was mowed i decided it was high time for me to finish part of our landscaping that has really needed some attention. thus, drove to hometown hardware picked up the  decorative bark and finished that task. kris came out to grab some stuff and we talked for a bit and then he took off. soon after i realized how messy our garage was. i hate messy garages.... pet peeve. so i then started cleaning the garage. i have many projects that i have been working on, furniture, gifts, organizing, decorating, etc... you name it i'm working on it. anyway. so one of my projects was this awesome dresser that brady and jen found at a yard sale and then no longer wanted. so i took it off their hands and refinished the sucker. it. is. beautiful. to say the very least! i decided it was time to take it inside, alone. i'm an idiot. but that doesn't matter. any who so i took the drawers out and then lifted the baby up our garage stairs, into our laundry room, passed our kitchen, journeyed around our living room, passed the hall and finally made it into our master bedroom. after that i decided that i needed to drill the holes for the drawers to put the knob thing on. even though its not really a knob any way you'll see the picture..... well just as i was about to try and drill some holes that i'm sure were not lined up and i had no idea what i was doing my wonderful hubby came home and rescued me. so that project is DONE! hallelujah. after that made the hubby and i some good eats and he went on his way. i then resumed the task of cleaning the garage. i was then attacked by a black widow that had decided to make its resting place in the push broom that i was using. did i freak out? yes. for a minute, then i realized how much bigger i am that it was. thus, ending its venomous life. moving on. i then found our really awesome rocking chair that has been in my family ever since i can remember sitting in the corner. (one of my many projects) I decided that it was high time for that sucker to be checked off of my massive list and i finished that. i then decided that it was getting far too hot outside and i completed all that i could in the garage and headed indoors. where i then began to clean the eff out of our home. its never really dirty to begin with but there is always organizing or deep cleaning that needs to be done.  i scoured the bathrooms, organized "my" room (guest bedroom with a bunch of my clothes in it) prepared a D.I bag and got rid of tons of stuff, worked on laundry, dusted, vacuumed, organized, organized, organized. wrote out bills, and re-arranged our room a bit. by this time it was 4:00 and i was sweaty, smelly and so done for the day. hopped in the shower and have been sitting on the couch since. just to have my wonderful husband that i love oh so much tell me that we need to go haul hay... now he said that he would do it solely by himself... ya right, like i'm going to let him do that. if you have every hauled hay you know that it is hell on earth. so anyway. any one else's day of consist of this? hahahaha. now, i'm not complaining, i love life and i love that i am capable to do all these things and have the means to do so. however, i would love to enjoy a day to myself. that'll be all... here are some awesome pictures of my projects.

before.... well i had started painting it a little but still.

after, you can't really tell, but i painted it antique white and antiqued it with brown shoe polish. it looks awesome.

and this was the rocking chair. picture doesn't do it justice...

mom, this picture is for you, you better believe i am already decorating for fall :).

i'm sure you can't really see this picture that well, stupid light, but this is my wonderful man making dinner after my long day. i love him.

my sanctuary before i have to do haul hay... hahaha it's been a very productive, awesome day. YAY me!

all good.

this life is so wonderful. really though. i have accepted the blessings that heavenly father gives me and allowed him to give me the gifts to create my own wonderful life as well. as long as it is in alliance with his will for me. i am so grateful that oak and i have such a wonderful relationship with one another. we share joy and have so much fun. we are both honest and loyal. i know that he loves me and i feel of his love every second of every day. i love myself and all those around me. i love being able to share my own light and love with every being that encounters me. i enjoy life and i get excited for everything that comes my way. it is all positive and good as i learn from everything. i love that we are comfortable in our finances and that we are open to new adventures that await us. i love that we make new, loyal, fun friends that share the same positive manifestations as we do. i am grateful for my savior Jesus Christ and for everything that he has taught and given to me. i love the gospel. i love that i can create my life in alliance with my heavenly fathers will. i love that i am healthy and fit. i love that oakly and i are so close. i love my family and i am so grateful for each one of them. i am grateful for my amazing relationships. i am grateful for this amazing wonderful life that i live.

a must have....

changed my life. it will yours too. get it. read it. love it. live it.

Yet again.

i've been told that it has been far to long since i have provided an update. weird.... i'm way good at blogging. not.

any who. wow... so much has been going on.

first of all, mi casa su casa has a whole new meaning...

my family basically lives out at our home. and i love it.

this is landers and i at the pool... HE LOVES the slide.

again? T, again? again? haha

Oakly of course is just amazing as always.

he has been picking up quite a bit lately.

it's nice.

while we were watching Oaks rodeo they had a money cow.

this is for different age groups of kiddos.

nathen took landon out...

cutest.
thing.
ever.

he lost his boot and nathen basically had to carry the kid every where.

that was...
until the rodeo clown got to them.... classic.

every  little boy wants to be a cowboy.

fast forward a couple weeks. family reunion in lava.

bow chica wow wow.

first of all... oak has just finished up a rodeo in panguich the night we were supposed to leave.

yeah.

he got home at 3:30 am...

we left at 4 am.

we drove to lava...

we have a golf tournament every year.

we had to make it to our tee time.

and.

we kicked butt.

brennen couldn't drive it passed the ladies pins....

Thus.....

aw..... love.

best. time. ever. "floating" the river.

i first thought aw... that will be relaxing.

didn't know i would be holding on for dear life the whole time.

"floating" down the river my ass.

battle wounds... it was bomb.

after our lovely fam-damly reunion for my family.

guess what?

yeah we headed to another one. in paradise.

it was oaks fam-damly reunion that weekend as well.

the drive was amazing....

minus the part where Oakly forgot where to go....

Jet skiing?

yes.

all day?

yes.

Rope swing?

better believe it.

i had some stupid kid say i was going to break it.

i broke him.

jk.

king pin.

dominated.

favorites of the grand parents?

well, they remember my name now!!

haha, i love them.

then fast forward a bit...  we got home, Oakly started the county fair.

and died.

then he lived again once it was over.

miracle.

then he decided to leave me again for another rodeo.

then i decided to take up something i've never really done before....

well.. kris decided to have me take up something i've never really done before...

he wanted "professional pictures" taken... by who?

ya... me...

have i ever really taken pictures before.

no.

so here is a sample of some of my "wanna-be" creative side...

did i have any idea what i was doing?

no.

did i have any cool programs on my computer to edit these?

no.

did we go at the right time of day?

no.

did landon cooperate?

hell. no.

BUT

i did have a ton of fun and really enjoyed spending time with my fam.

my dad tagged along and we got a picture together.. finally! we don't really have any.

i'm changing that.

any who. here is your update. oakly and i are in love. we love life.
